INFORMATION ABOUT COURSES
The Philosophy of Good Medicine
Wisdom in Living
Good Medicine and the Human Body

COURSE MATERIAL
Each course consists of a series of lessons that are accompanied by a list of questions. Students are asked to spend at least one week on each lesson, to give them time to absorb the concepts presented, and observe how the lesson pertains to their personal lives. Students send their answers to us, and an authorized teacher will review and return them with comments.

ACCREDITATION
The Good Medicine Society is not an "accredited" school that can offer a degree. Our courses are based on material spoken, written, and taught by Eli Gatoga (Cherokee, 1921-1983), who dedicated his life to teaching others how to seek and apply Good Medicine in all aspects of their lives. His wife, Alloday, and others who support his efforts, continue the school he founded.

You can now pay through standard mail or, for some items, use the online PayPal system with your credit card.

RECEIVING AND SENDING LESSON MATERIAL
Your choice to receive materials online or through the mail depends entirely on you. Think of the way you work and think, and decide what style suits your personality.

Receiving lessons through the mail. We have delivered lessons, one by one, through standard mail for more than 20 years, and the method worked well. Enrollment in our Philosophy course now includes online access to the lessons you'll need, and we no longer send single lessons. However, we currently offer an optional course book for $20.00 (including postage). The book is comb-bound and 3-hole punched, for easy inclusion in a binder with students' written work. Other courses will eventually include optional course books.

Receiving lesson files online. Our online courses are offered as .pdf (Portable File Document) files that can be printed on your own printer. To view and print the .pdf files, you'll need to download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program from the Adobe site. These pages will look similar to the lessons we have printed in our course book. Simple html (Hypertext Markup Language) web page files that download more quickly, but do not retain the print formatting the .pdf files offer, will be offered soon.

Submitting Your Lesson Assignments. Regardless of which method you choose to receive your materials, you have a choice of two ways to submit your discussion question answers:

  1. Email: Email submissions allow you to write, rewrite, and edit your submission without taking up phone time online, until the point you are ready to "Send."
  2. Standard Mail: If you prefer to hand write your letters, by all means send your work through the postal service. You will already have the next lesson, and you can work on this while you await return of your previous lesson with our comments.

So, it's your choice. Remember, it's entirely up to you and your own personality and learning style how you choose to receive lessons and submit your work. Try one and see how you like it. You won't be locked into either method.

We hope to hear from you soon! Email us at windsong@mtnhome.com if you have any problems or questions regarding this site or the ordering process.
